So it finally happened! I went to mayanagari for the first time in my life. Since I visited as a “visitor” only I fell in love with the city.

Everything about it was different yet I felt at home. I stayed with my extended families (turn wise) but the limited yet fulfilling experience of six days in Mumbai is beyond description. I am overwhelmed with the feeling of gratitude for this great trip. It still seems unbelievable that I achieved one of my long pending travel goal at the end of the year 2021.

So with the feeling of immense gratitude in my heart, I am writing the present gratitude note to my dear Universe for making everything possible in 7 days (inclusive of the journey period) that I had imagined for the trip. Firstly, I am truly grateful for my office schedule being light enough that afforded me an opportunity to go on this trip. I am particularly grateful to my whole office for taking care of every work without messaging or bothering me. Thank you Universe for blessing my professional life with a cooperative and professional office team. Also, I am truly grateful for the timing of my trip as the weather in Mumbai was awesome and I was able to use all my energy in exploring as much as I can within the limited time that I had.

I am also grateful to my journey partner because traveling with him was purely a funny experience (details coming in the next article). I am grateful to myself as well for showing courage and confidence to travel to Mumbai because I was scared and skeptical, both, for a few things due to personal reasons. But everything fell into its right place and I am so happy for this miracle. Thank you dear Universe for your magical magic! I am also grateful to my Santacruz and Kamothe waale BILs and sisters for bearing all my trip-related expenses and pampering me with their love and mehmaan nawaazi (again details coming in next article). My whole trip was funded by them including my cousin brother so this deserves a special mention and a special thanks to all of them. Thank you so much.

The trip would have been meaningless if my love, Krishiv (my nephew) had not played with me and had not allowed me to take his endless kisses. Thank you, Krishi! Thank you so much. On a few occasions, he would hold my finger and ask me to explain the thing indicated. This was more than enough for me and are the happiest moments and memories from the trip. Further, I am so happy and truly grateful to cab and auto waale bhaau for dropping me safely (twice, when I traveled alone) and engaging in insightful conversations about local Mumbai. I always enjoy doing the same in Delhi/Noida because I love talking to people and know more about them and their life. I have observed that every such conversation has given me few valuable lessons in life, and has helped me understand and appreciate it from different eyes and angle.

Further, thank you dear Universe for keeping me and my Kamothe waali family safe when we all went to Imagica, the theme park. I have never experienced the thrill, speed, height, adventure, and the sinking feeling of fear, all at the same time while taking major rides there. Every time I would utter THANK YOU UNIVERSE when I went from high to the low point, and slow to fast speed on rides. It was simply amazing. Of course, details coming soon.

I am also grateful to clean Juhu and Alibaugh beaches that made me fall in love with the sea, waves, and tides. The water was amazingly refreshing and cold at an inch and then warm afterward and then again cold. Thank you dear Mother Nature for being so ‘giving’ and ‘loving’. Also, I am truly grateful for experiencing the well-organized and clean sabzi aur phal mandi exactly the way it is portrayed on the silver screen or television. It was entirely different from what is generally seen in Delhi or Noida. Also, I am so grateful for meeting two of my angel friends and my bro.

Not forgetting to mention the Bandra-Worli sea link, I got spiritually connected with it. I traveled four times through it and each time I found myself lost in the sea, sun, moon, waves, wind, breeze, structure, and the lights at night. I am especially thankful to my Santacruz waale BIL for going out of the way and spending extra time, miles, and fuel so that I can see the beautiful sea link at night and on the very first day of my trip. Thank you so much BIL. Related to it, I am truly grateful to all the engineers and staff (at all levels) who had worked so hard and created ‘this’ man-made magical structure. In the end, I am grateful for the mental journey undertaken during this trip that has made me realize certain important things about myself which will help me in leading the life that I have chosen for myself.

Indeed, Gratitude is a special power to attract more good in our lives. It is believed that the more grateful we are for the minutest of things, the more good we receive in return. The gain from feeling grateful and saying ‘thanks’ for every possible thing is the effortless and painless way to attract our wishes and also helps us in achieving our goals to live a fulfilled life. We must practice gratitude every day as it also gives us the strength to face day to day challenges and helps us appreciate the sources and resources available at our disposal. We should never commit the mistake of taking the privileges (small or big) for granted else life has its own modus operandi to teach us the habit of valuing what we have in our hands.

Thanking you all for your patient reading! Stay Safe, Stay Healthy! Keep spreading the love! Make the best use of your present life… Meet you soon again.
